after the many sea-dives in the last time, it was time to go caving . It should be dived in the endsiphon "ärgernisdom" in the koppenbrüllerhöhle order to discover something new territory. at 9 o´clock in the morning met arnold obermair, bernhard kamleitner, siegfried kallinger, lukas and johann kirchberger with gerhard wimmer to help him to dive at the ärgernisdom. the equipment was quickly divided to us and stored in our sacks immediately to make the
direction away koppenbrüllerhöhle.
at the entrence, we all change our clothes to our "cave-uniforms" and start the journey to ärgernisdom. the way is about 600 meters, but after the first quater, the hight is between 30 and 50 cm! nearly reached the ärgernisdom, after about 100 minutes, we had to stop, because of to much water in the system. diving here was possible, but unneeded because of that area is already measured. so, after a short lunch and the "deepest inside the koppenbrüller drunken beer" we reversed.
we all hope for better conditions next time!!
caves generally are very sensitive ecosystems and are therefore, like the koppenbrüllerhöhle, especially protected and not publicly available and invariably, require the approval by the relevant nature conservation authorities!
the koppenbrüllerhöhle, or a part thereof, will also run as a show cave and offers, during the summer season, interested visitors the possibility of guided tours to explore this fascinating ecosystem.
